BIT Form – ASAT
A Biologist in training (BIT) must work under the supervision of an RPBio or RBTech while they gain the experience and competencies required to apply for to be a practicing registrant.

Education and Experience

Experience includes paid and voluntary activities that occurred in the last 10 years. Up to one year of experience may be pre-graduation.

An applicant who is already a registrant with the College (or an equivalent professional regulator in another jurisdiction) may claim all their applied biology experience gained while registered (pre- or post- graduation).

A thesis-based masters in an applied biology topic counts as 1 year of experience, and a PhD in an applied biology topic counts as 2 years of experience.
